Working in the auto industry I understand how insurance companies work. My wife's Edge received hail damage and we took it and had the State Farm people look at it. She took the vehicle in to have it looked at again at Wicklunds only to have them tell her to bring it back on April 18th for an appointment and that they would call State Farm back out to reestimate the damage with them. I thought that the original appointment I made and my wife showed up for would be more then "yep you have damage, come back in April". I understand that there may have been some small dents missed, by myself and the original inspector, but when the customer says that this is what they want repaired and that's it because they cant be without the vehicle for a week or more one would think that they would want the business. We try to send business your way even after having my truck repaired by you and having my bed decals put on in the incorrect position. I talked to Jason when I realized that the placement was off and he said that he would order a new one, that was over a year ago and I have yet to have anyone call me to say that the decal is in. Do not go here to get windshield work done! I made an appointment on a Tuesday to get a windshield replaced in my truck the following Friday. I was specifically told that if I make it more than a day in advance that it will give them a chance to check the glass for damage before the day of the appointment to avoid taking a day off work for nothing. I bring the truck in on the day of the appointment and get a call back that afternoon saying that they can't replace the glass, because the glass they got in is damaged. I asked why it wasn't checked before the day of the appointment and they said "I don't know."
I messed up the rear of my wife's 2007 Camry big-time, on the steel bumper of a crew cab pickup sticking out too far in the aisle of a parking garage. Checked the internet and found good reviews for Wicklund's and so took my wife's car there. Their facility is bright and clean, and everyone treated me courteously and professionally. The lady who wrote my estimate was terrific, and explained her findings thoroughly. She asked for up to a week to complete the job, depending on parts availability, but it wound up taking just two and a half days. The car looks perfect. It's ten years old, but you can't even tell by the paint that any body work has been done. I could not be happier!
They are friendly, keep in contact by sending updates to your phone and the work is excellent. They deal with both the insurance and the rental company so you don't have to worry or stress about anything while your car is being repaired. I've taken 3 cars there and wouldn't trust anyplace else.
Gerald contacted me and discussed the miscommunication in the appointments. Upon finding out that they do not employ a PDR tech in house but have one that has worked with them for many years also sheds some light on the wait time. So between them wanting to wait for the insurance adjuster to come out and inspect the vehicle with them and having to work around the PDR techs schedule I can see how it would take longer to get the car serviced. They ordered another decal for the truck and installed it while I waited on my lunch. I can't remember the ladies name that my wife and I talked to , but I hope that her service is better in the future. The receptionist, Gerald, Rochelle and Jason were great to deal with and would deal with them directly again. Changed the review from 1 to 3.
