Beautiful, historic, Victorian 1880s home built by the Mayor of Liberty, Mo. The rooms are large, quiet, and comfortble. The woodwork, hardware, and fixtures are original and illustrate the craftsmanship and care applied in this homes construction. The owners, Carolyn and Steve are welcoming and wonderful; very generous with their hospitality! If you appreciate architectural excellence and genteel accommodations, Stone-Yancy House is a must!
My wife and I have been to many B&Bs in our 25 years together, and we consider The Stone-Yancey House to be the best, bar none. It is our gold standard, and we've yet to meet its match. It is a beautiful, historic home. The owners obviously cherish it and are diligent to maintain it meticulously. They are genuinely warm and friendly to their guests. The service is great and the food is delicious. It is ideal for a romantic getaway, and convenient to Kansas City for business.
I reserved a room back in December originally but due to bad weather they let us reschedule with no fee! We were able to go recently and it was wonderful. The innkeepers are so kind and helpful, without being overly helpful. The house is a snapshot of the time period without all the needed advancements. Our room was adorable and comfortable and we loved the whirlpool bath! And the breakfast was so yummy! Overall it was all so amazing. Would do it again!
