Not up front with about my MRI report. I was only told I had bulge disc annular tear at my L5-S1 but than want though the laser spine institute who looked over the MRI report said it said bulge/herniated disc annular tear at my L5-S1. Than had epidural done by them had reaction to things giving but told it's was to much steroid. My mother in law is nurse who say the same thing and I work in the healthcare all say the same thing I am not stupid. I would not send a dog to Liberty Hospital for nothing. Liberty Hospital should get the worst hospital award. Plus I am stuck paying for the ER Bill because the stupid fool in pain center send me to the ER it was there fault there should be one the paying and eating the bill.
Save yourself the aggravation and just go to an orthopedic from the get go.
Been dealing with them for close to a year with little to no mid term pain relief, I was better off getting pills from the regular Dr at least they cut down on the pain a little . They are in willing to work around ones schedule the slightest bit . The bad part is my insurance is through Liberty hospital and covers my visits in full but I will either have to go else where and pay 30 percent out of pocket or just live with the pain like I have for years anyways !!
Stay away from this pain clinic.
The staff was very helpful when I needed to be referred to a specialist.
What bothers me most is my wife kept saying it felt like her hip and they kept saying it was her back. Low and behold we finally got into an orthopedic and they said it was her hip.
Absolutely the worst place. These doctors, nurses, and receptionist are all lazy. They lie to other hospitals and doctors. They say they will call you to schedule an appointment, but never do. They have no idea of your patient history or medications after recieveing (looking over as they put it) your medical chart. When you finally get to your appointment after being in severe pain for 3 weeks, they tell you they can't do anything for you because of the medication you are on. It is specifically their job to look at your chart and tell you specific directions to follow before you are treated. The pain center has a great lack of intelligence and has NO common courtesy for their patients. I will be filing a formal complaint about this facility.
What really bothers me is that since it is part of Liberty Hospital I have to pay a co-pay to the Dr. and the the hospital is charging me as an out patient so I have another co-pay. I could understand when they actually did the steroid injections but they charged me as out patient even for the office visits. And yes it said office visit on the bill. They really hosed us plus took for ever and no definitive diagnosis.
Took a lot of visit and they were not able to get my wife's pain under control. We end d up at the emergency room twice.
