Well stocked and friendly grocery store. Really love their fresh bread and meat counter as the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Good selection of many different foods and they are willing to bring in requested items to keep in stock. Prices can be high, but their sales and the perks card taking money off your gas prices can make it worth a weekly trip.

This was my first time in a Hy-Vee grocery store. Their store was clean, their prices were a little high for my taste, but the quality of their produce was high and you get what you pay for. Also, they had the isles split in the center, so even though it's a large store, it was easy to navigate. It was busy but didn't feel crowded until you got to the check stands.

Really doesn't have many options for people with dietary restrictions like gluten free plus soy free and vegan. I have to do most of our shopping from higher end markets like Green Acres, Sprouts, and Natural Grocers. I wish grocery chains like this would step it up and offer healthier choices.

I usually don’t shop at Hy-Vee. But I know their bakery section is great. I had to go there to buy a cake for a celebration we were celebrating all week. I told the young lady that I needed it to say Happy Founders Week 2017 for my company. When she handed it to me it said “Happy Founders Day 2017” usually not a big deal, however when I asked her about it, she said that I told her Day, not week. I replied that I know why my company is celebrating and this was to kick off the WEEK, not DAY! Then her own associate agreed that I said week and not day. The woman got an attitude with me and said she could get another cake and re-write it but I explained that this already made cake was the exact color that my company goes by: RED. All the other cakes were green, blue or brown. No apology, nothing. So much for a helpful smile.

Great! Only thing is I went to express lane, 12 items or less. Yes, regular lanes Open, but lady in front of me had 28 items, and she was allowed to cash out...I understand customer service, but, Express means what it says! Few items, In a Hurry!!! I wasn't the only one to notice and Not be happy. Would of understood if regular lanes were not open, and not busy...
