I received a call back from this office, and we spoke approximately 20 minutes. I was grilled like I was being cross-examined. I told my story, but it wasn’t good enough. He kept inferring I needed to prove I battled mental disorders. I was triggered by the aggressive nature of the caller, and I suffered psychotic symptoms the entire day.
Anyway, if you're looking for someone to treat you with compassion and professionalism, or at the very least basic courtesy, when you're already going through rough times, my opinion... look elsewhere.
I trust Matt Grundy and I respect his ability as an attorney. He has the personality to relate well to both clients and judges and he knows the law.
I've participated with Matt Grundy at Social Security Disability law conferences across the country keeping up to date on current law and regulatory changes. Matt is consistently ahead of the game with his knowledge of the law and Social Security disability programs. His professional team has a great deal of experience battling Social Security for clients with all types of serious medical problems. Clients of this law firm are going to get top notch professional representation while applying for their benefits.
Like many who feel forced to file for disability, one feels shame, loss, and grief. It is radical acceptance of limitations, and it wounds our self-image and self-respect. This is a vulnerable journey.
Matt is one of those lawyers who you would trust to represent your mother. He is one of the most honest and trustworthy people I know. More importantly, he is an excellent lawyer. I have known Matt for several years, and he impresses me with his knowledge of the Social Security system every time I meet with him. He is a straight shooter and will tell you how he sees it. If you need a Social Security lawyer, hire Matt Grundy. You won't be disappointed!
I'm assuming based on quite a bit of past experience in the online marketing scene that some, if not all, of these other "shining reviews" are bought and paid for somewhere online. We've all seen them on Amazon, and when I look again they seem to have telltale signs. But who knows...
If a mental disorder is your disability, you will be shamed using this office. I should have known better, because it is in Liberty.
After seeing the other reviews, I was shocked at how rude, and unprofessional, these people were. After a brief initial call where I was told they would definitely take care of me and the law office would call me back later that day with more specific information, I never received a call back. 4 days later, I called them back. I was told at that point in a very rude way that basically I "didn't sound disabled" and therefore I should be able to find a job. I have no idea why considering I have multiple diagnosed serious health problems from multiple doctors, and my only guess is that because I do not have enough credits to qualify for a large backpay settlement(which is where the lawyer gets his money) that when the lawyer got the notes from the first conversation, he told the staff not to bother with me? I'm not sure why they had to be incredibly demeaning about it. It was pretty awful as someone who's already hating this situation to begin with.
I was trying to decide which attorney to use for my disability case. I chose this office because of great reviews. I sent a message online and they called me back.
