P.S. Does get pretty busy on weekend mornings/early afternoon but its worth the wait
Update: I went again with a friend and my lox in a Sox was served differently because they ran out of croissants. It did not taste the same. Service was better.
A charming little independent restaurant on the Square in Liberty. I almost always order the grilled cheese (I love grilled cheese and this is one of my favorites), but I've ordered three or four other plates as well, all of which were tasty. I also really like their bloody Mary (the spicy one!), which is a special on Sundays. The atmosphere is relaxed and eclectic. The service is attentive and accommodating. One of my favorites in the Liberty area!
Food is delicious and service is great. Bees and trees latte is phenomenal, one of my girlfriend and I's go to spots in Liberty.
When you walk in and ask for a table for two expect the host to be clueless then tell you it's a short 45 minute wait. You ask her about specials and you get the smiling deer in head lights look. Just take the menu and look it over so you know what you want because it takes forever and the place is small and gets packed easily. Food is awesome but drinks are like 8-10 bucks and so small. My waitress dropped the garlic chips all over my husband so we got an extra plate of chips. That was nice. Chips are homemade. My salmon cream cheese croissant was out of this world. I ate the crispy part of the egg because I don't like eggs over easy and it was great. My husbands potato sausage gravy skillet was perfect but his drink was lacking. Mine was good except for the coffee beans sprinkled on as decoration. I tried one and gross.
I've been coming to Morning Day occasionally since it opened. I've never had an experience at Morning Day where either the food or the service wasn't below average. Today, I walked in and stood at the counter without being greeted for several minutes while the staff stood and chatted feet in front of me. In the past, I've waited 30 minutes for moldy food, or, more commonly, the wrong order. The menu is good and the coffee is excellent, but I wish both the preparation of the food and the service here were held to a higher standard.
Great simple place to eat for any occasion. Food was amazing and fresh leaving you wanting more. Can't wait to come back into town and have another bite!
