My daughter recently bought her first home and we stopped by Richard's Carpet & Tile because they advertised that they sold wholesale to the public. We didn't expect them to be better in pricing than the big box stores, but they were. The best part though was that the owners, Richard and Dolly, were great with service every step of the way. The install was flawless. Since then my cousin and sister have purchased flooring from them. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
We had carpet installed by Richard's several years ago for our finished basement and stairs. Richard's came in with an excellent price, and the installation was flawless. Richard's also did tile work in a Jack and Jill bathroom which turned out beautifully. The installers were very professional and efficient. They arrived when they said they were going to. We also had our entire upstairs re-carpeted and we had the same great service. At Richard's recommendation we went with an upgraded carpet pad, and we have been very pleased. It is like walking on a cloud. Everyone always comments on how soft the carpet feels. I would highly recommend Richard's for your carpet and tile needs!
We purchased carpet for our downstairs family room and our stairs about 5 years ago. No issues. We purchased a vinyl luxury plank floor a little over a year ago. The floor didn't look good and would be what I would consider product failure. We reached out to Richard, who agreed it wasn't acceptable. He and his team came in and did a full tear out and reinstall of product. Richard ended up even upgrading our product, to a better product. We didn't have to pay a penny. They had it all done in a day and it looks wonderful! Richard is no longer selling the product we originally had installed. To me as a consumer, companies show their true color, when you see how they deal with issues. Excellent job Richard's Carpet & Tile.
Even though I was told there was plenty carpet for the job I needed done (the style had been discontinued), none was left at my house after installation. Installer had kept remaining carpet and told the owner he was just going to take it home with him (so he basically stole it). I had to ask for the carpet back that was left - that I paid for. Owner told me to come to the store to get it! Got there and it wasn't there. It had been taken to the warehouse. When I complained about the whole ordeal, the owner told me that "it was just the carpet business", and "it was just scrap ma'am". It was a 5' x 8' "scrap". (And for all I know there could have been even more.) The price I agreed to pay for the carpet was based on the amount shown on the roll. Owner told me when I asked why more wasn't left over that "the guys measure wrong all the time". But he didn't offer to refund me any of what I paid. I knew it wouldn't even be worth asking for that because of his claims of the great deal he gave me. As I was explaining my dissatisfaction with the service, even with the "great deal" he supposedly gave me because the carpet was very expensive, and the unethical behavior of his installer, another customer came into his store. The owner completely cut me off, left me standing there and started helping the new customer. I couldn't believe the rudeness. Very bad experience.
Horrible don't waste your time or money! I scheduled an install a month in advance and they never showed. I called them 3 times that day and there horrible office staff just kept giving me the run around. They ended up asking if they could come the next day at 9 which they then showed up at 11. Then they installed the wrong color carpet, when I called the owner to complain he hung up on me. I ended up having them rip out the carpet and giving me a refund. Do not use this trash owner or company
